If the first car had been going 80 km/h, it would have past the semi before the truck even crossed the intersection and would have been able to get his Venti Caramel Moca Latte and smash into the back of a police cruiser at the accident while rubbernecking to see what happend to the second car.

I think the biggest cause of death on motorways is not speeding , but drivers staying to close , police should give penalties for people driving to close rather than speeding , having said that its obviously a thing that's alot harder to regulate as often times its required and is safe to be close.

in ether case speeding is more of a problem on country lanes and city roads.

but yah in UK 90% of the drivers don't give ample space as they get annoyed when sum one "takes" the space in front of them. Maby cars should all have lasers in them that when sumone is above 45MPH if you dont give at least 15m of space it sounds a really annoying alarm maby a voice that says " give space" "give space " nothing that would startel the driver but a clear warning that would force people to give more space. If it was iligal to tamper with it and all cars legaly had to have it i think it would reduce moterway fatalities grately.

allso Im all for road cars having Speed limiters on them. there is no reasoin sumone should be able to drive a car at 150mph on public roads , you could still have a beast engine but it would require an authorized person to unlock it (if you wanted to go to track days ) and if u self unlock it u get into truble. This way cars would still have gr8 aceleratoin for overtaking and stuff that people buy exspensive cars for but you would not run the risk of people raping it down the motorway.

Mony made from fines should maby be put towards bulding a british nurburg ring so that if u wanted to go fast there was a place to do so , maby evan have it so people can acess track days cheeper.

there is a fundamental educational issue with alot of young drivers where they think its skill full to drive a car fast on public roads , when in realty its piss easy (until you crash which is 75% chance based car coming out / unexpected corner / weather) I can almost guarantee that they Boy/Girl "racers" would get raped by Evan young go cart drivers.

The thing that bothers me is how enforcement of speeding not only isn't consistent but is mostly only to get money for the state or county that it occurs in. I don't know where we got the idea that cops should be rolling taxmen but they're not helping the community or keeping us safe by doing so. They're merely pissing us off and causing unnecessary grief like when they go around tasing or shooting people. This concerns me because when I hear about a cop getting killed or those 4 cops getting killed, I either hear the silence of uncaring or the jackassedry of gloating. This shouldn't be, it should change.

Despite that u = you thing in the title, I begrudgingly upvoted this video.

I hated doing it, but with a spelled out "you" the title would have been too long, and I really wanted that sentence as a title.

You've made a concession in your title for a minor extension of my sanity.

Thank you kind stranger.

Changed it into something shorter now as suggested by @gwiz665

Westy....In the U.S., pharmaceutical abuse combined with drink drive kills more people than anything else on the road. Were it simply drink drive(not at all advocating it), the numbers would drop drastically.
Factor out the people too fucked up and too stupid to live, speeding is not a major cause of accidents. Stupidity and lack of skill and awareness in combination with vehicle type and condition of the same, more likely the culprit.

I live in a county(not a country) of nearly 7 million people, a good number of whom are driving illegally with the inability to afford insurance or to properly maintain their vehicles, many of whom are from our 3rd world neighbors to the South (Mexico) where driving rules are as sketchy as the motorists abilities or familiarity with U.S. motoring decorum...FACTOR IN CELL-PHONE ADDICTION which more than likely kills more dumb-asses than speeding!!
A solution to the problem??? Mandatory courses akin to the training and skills needed for professional drivers-A road test that involves navigating a variety of hazards, an obstacle course if you will. Dis-allow the majority of idiots who need not be on the road to have fucking licenses , and the shit polices itself...AND, there's more room for me, who wants to go as rapidly or as slowly as I have the skills and desire to as I will.

I dont think better training will do the trick , the fact is driving a car within the speed limit is ridiculously easy , driving a race car or a car at high speed is an almost compelaty different skill to driving within the speed limit. there was a sudy in the uk that found drives that did the advance driving stuff were more likely to have accidents because they were overconfident. obviously this might be different if everyone had to take an advanced test. because at the moment Manny of the people that do advanced tests will be doing it cos they r boy racers , or people that want to show of.

but yah drink driving using phones and all these things should have much higher penalties maby a ban for a week and a fine the first time you are cought.

driving slower would definalty help , but i think giving space is far more important than say 15mph , especially on a motorway.

If you have space between you and other people there is far more time and space to react + its just harder to hit things if your not near annything.

I dont know why we use MPH kilometers r so much better and easy to understand , i guess England just loves to be retarded probably costs to much to change all the signs.

probably roman heritage as most our main roads were built by them and marked on maps by them.
