Officer Barely Saves Man In Wheelchair From Oncoming Train

On the morning of August 12, Officer Urrea with the Lodi Police Department in California saw a man in a wheelchair who appeared to be stuck on the tracks.

She noticed that the railroad crossing arms started to come down and saw that a train was approaching.

She immediately exited her patrol car and began running toward the man. As the train was reaching them, she was able to pull the man out of the wheelchair and they both fell back onto the ground.

The man suffered a leg injury that was tended to immediately after backup arrived.

The 66-year-old man was ultimately taken to the hospital for treatment.
