Cop Flips Out When Told He Can't Search Car Without Warrant

BuzzFeed: This cop must be having a really bad day. Someone needs to wash his mouth out with soap.

Please excuse my naivete, but how does one acquire dashcam videos from the police department for perusal and posting? Is this part of the Freedom of Information Act or ?? (or is this fine officer posting this himself as part of his anger management classes and "Admitting you have a problem is the first step").

Sorry to be a party pooper and deploy the f-word but isnt this fake? I read somewhere these two guys are both police officers and got into trouble for making these videos when they should have been working...

This video was uploaded by "WakeUpAndLegalizelt", sounds like some pro-pot organization/site/channel(?). So i guess this driver reported this incident and somebody submitted FOIA request for this video. Or maybe the driver sued the cop and this video was released as part of the trial evidence?

I think they are probably all leaked. I don't think his superiors would want anyone seeing this. I'd have to imagine that for every embarrassing dashcam vid that sees the light of day, there are probably dozens that don't. >> ^bremnet:

I gotta be honest. I'd fear for my life if a cop flipped on me like that. That was just bat shit insanity. The man shouldn't be carrying a firearm with a temper like that.

For me I'd consider running and calling 911 while on the road saying I didn't feel safe with this nutcase pulling me over and would gladly go into custody with a sane person arresting me.

Agreed. Likely fake. I don't think you need to mention a warrant in these situations, simply say, "I do not give consent to a search of my vehicle." If Officer wants to search after that, he better have a damned good reason. Typically, anything he can see by simply looking in the windows does not require permission.

Yeah like when they get people together to "search" cars for missing teenagers. Happened when I was down in San Diego...girls just at a gas station handed me a flier of the missing girl and had a look in the window of my car.

I wonder about how the videos are recorded. It must be in a tamper-proof case in the cruiser somewhere, or each and every police officer who does such a thing would attempt to delete it.

I think whoever checks those would be going "Hey what happened to the tape between this time and this time?"

joedirtsays...

This is fake and I believe on snopes as it is at least a year old...

WTF people.. It probably was already sifted as fake stupid video. I believe the cops got into trouble for making this video.

I was gonna post that it looks fake, but it looks that's already been confirmed.

What kind of cop is gonna flip out like this over basically nothing knowing full-well he is recording himself?

That's why I love/miss October, when the chained-up skeleton wearing a cheerleader outfit in my one's trunk once again becomes a "party prop".
