HadouKen24says...1,000 is not a power of two. Computers deal in base two. Hence, the only strange things likely to happen involve the display of the numbers, not the actual processing of the number. Which is what happened.
Assuming that the time is kept in integer form, one might see something interesting happen at 1,677:72.15, or (more likely) 429,496:72.95 Sadly, the counter never went that high.
