Terrible cross by one of the world's most overrated players ever, awful marking to leave him in so much space, no closing down, goalkeeper should have got to it, even the commentators are awful.

OK, it was a good goal and I'd probably need two or even three attempts to do that

but that goal is soured by the awfulness of everyone around him.

I don't understand soccer announcers. Every single one I've heard is just like this -- dumber than bricks since they can't do anything but yell one word for five minutes and then just scream and grunt. Compare that to the Stanford-Cal game when the band was out on the field -- the guy was just as excited but he was actually speaking a language.

EDIT: But a decent goal I guess, though I don't understand why he was so wide open.
