He goes even farther, and claims that the fact that insurance is paid for pre-tax is the root cause. I'll bet you any amount of money that if you track -his- income, you'll find a large chunk of it comes from the Wealthcare for Billionaires crowd.
The reason healthcare is so expensive here is because it's structured to encourage that. We pay everyone involved on a fee for service basis, which means the more procedures/equipment they perform or sell, the more money they earn. Is anyone here too stupid to predict the outcome of that pay structure?
