When cars attack...bicycles (at a Critical Mass ride)

Stumble ThisIn March 2007, a car is seen apparently crossing over the island median, entering in the middle of the mass of bicycles participating in the critical mass ride. The car proceeds to follow a bicycle. and then hits the bicycle and runs over the bicycle and a couple more. At least a few bicycles were damaged. There may be some physical injuries to some of the bicyclists, skaters, and pedestrians in the area, that were hit be the motorist.
Since I started cycling to work I had to adjust my route as each day I was nearly taken out at least once per journey. Making 4 trips a day the odds were good I was going to get run down.
When it finally happened, guy pulled out without checking for traffic first, I ended up on the front of his van, he still hadnt seen me until I started hammering the heck out of his bonnet (hood, for our cousins across the sea). He was just gazing off to his left...
This mini-critical mass was people looking to disrupt other people's commute and expecting trouble.
Some people have things to get to, and no time for assholes bullshitting around with friends in the middle of the street.
Also, you called the cyclists fat, the fattest person in the video was in a car. The cyclists, as a whole, seemed to have a build that was representative of the US.
Hey budzos... What entitles cars to use the road any more than bikes?
Nothing, it would be just as stupid for 10 cars to get together and block both lanes at 5mph. That an even stupider driver came along doesn't make the bikers any better.
