They should have hired someone professional to showcase it. Someone more excited about the actual product. Furthermore it looks like you can built this pretty much on your own.
I agree, keep in mind that you have to supply your own projector. They're still in the early stages of the project, so they don't quite have the resources for anything better I assume.
It would not look so warped in person. Remember you're looking at a 2D video of the thing.
Not that this isn't neat, but this only works for FPS games (or at least those are the only ones where you might have the option to increase the FOV, which should lessen the fisheye effect).
Also, it might be easier to have some little hemispherical LCD screen goggles or something if you want to fill your FOV and give the corners of your eyes something to do.
In any event they'll need to figure out how to get that dome to go around me while I'm sitting on my fat ass because I'm not standing up to play.
