What not to do as a quarterback after you throw an intercept

Tavares Jackson learns what not to do after he throws an interception...Professor Chris Clemons is the teacher. (NSFW due to language in the music)

I saw that as well. It made me wonder if it was legal to pick someone up like that.

I don't agree that the QB should have just let him go. But you've got to go in low against a bigger blocker.

Oh yeah, you try that shit with MIGHTY ED HOCHULI and your whole goddamn team will be 9/11'd! The O-line, D-line, coaching staff, sponsors, league officials and Al-fucking-Michaels -- all totally goddamn PWN3D and Mighty Ed will stand right there on the 50-yard line, flexing his guns and explaining: "The ruling on the field is I JUST KICKED -ALL- YOUR ASSES! 5 yard penalty and repeat second down."

Someday, Hochuli -is- gonna go G.G. Allen in the middle of a game and I hope I'm on the other side of the planet when it happens.

That really didn't look like a bad hit. He was ready for the hit, already moving the same direction, landed flat, and didn't do anything to hurt his neck or joints. Humiliating, sure. But not painful.

As a QB I'm sure he's had sacks ten times worse than that.

i remember my first hit....wait, do i?

I do too! 3 broken ribs, fractured collar bone, dislocated shoulder and hip. First and last hit, during a practice scrimmage. Guess that was my punishment for thinking that going out for football in 10th grade would be a good way to make friends.

quaterbacks do not do tackling drills... they dont practice for that .. .no wonder he got owned.

Highly paid athletes at the peak of their game should be trained in all aspects of their sport for such situations as this.

Oh wait, it's american football, the sport has to evolve for about 10 years before it becomes a game where athletes push themselves to the limits for utter perfection at what they do.

(I enjoy watching american football a lot of the time, but i genuinely think there is room for revolutionary changes to tactics, training and play styles that would put any team who invented it into a whole other league)

Good god, man. did you try to tackle a Suburban?

The QB hopped up and helped him. Asked for it. I don't care if you don't practice tackles every day, but EVERYBODY knows you hit with you feet on the ground unless you're refrigerator sized.

I once did a jumping tackle ON a quarterback. He was showing pass, so I jumped in the air to block it. Mid-air he tucked it under his arm to make a run for it, so I grabbed on to his helmet on my way by, popping his chinstrap and making for a nice trophy. It was pretty awesome walking away from the play with the quarterback's helmet held high by the face mask. They made me give it back =(

The QB stopped in front of the blocker. It looked like he had second thoughts about trying to make that tackle. I think it would have been near impossible for the blocker not to send that guy flying. You have to go right through the blocker to the ball carrier, not run up to them and stand there like an obstacle, hoping to trip them or something.

Of course you're allowed to "lift" someone like that. Pretty much anything that doesn't involve wrapping your arms around them or grasping them with your hands is legal.
