Whaling in the Faroe Islands (not for the quesy)

This is how the Faroe Islands, who are technically under Danish jurisdiction, hunt Pilot Whales (grind).

They scare the whales up to a beach with boats, then run out in the water and drive meat hooks in them, so they don't swim away. When they are secured, they cut into the back of their necks and sever the spine and bleed them.

Starts out with a few still photos and then live cam. The second half shows whaling in Iceland.

Gruesome, indeed.
