kronosposeidonsays...I found it interesting that at the very time they were decrying Nazi racism in this film, they also depicted the Japanese (at 2:28) with stereotypical racist features, i.e., the bucktooth Asian.
A lot of Americans don't like this song (written and performed by an American band), for reasons that will be readily apparent at the 13 second mark:
But I find it almost impossible to get past the hypocrisy I found in this video.
Not bagging on you, brother schmawy. It's still a great find, historically speaking.
Hive13says...Krono, what is clearly hypocrisy today was a national collective ideal when this was created.
Our country was segregated, we had a clearly defined enemy in the Axis powers and Americans lived in fear.
