"I was roaming Balboa Park before a wedding and this three piece band caught my attention. A small boy with an upright bass, a bespectacled giant with a mandolin, and an unassuming girl with a harp. They call themselves The Wrong Trousers. Talk about odd choices in musical instruments. But they have tremendous talent. Their style won't be everyone's cup of tea, but there's no denying they know their instruments and are comppletely unique. These kids are still in high school! They could use some work on the vocals, as they were a bit flat at times, but other than that, very nice work. It's nice to see musicians choosing unique instruments nowadays. When I was growing up, people who played the cello or bass would hide their talent, while those who played guitar, or even electric guitar would get all the attention.

In about 20 years we'll all by watching these guys on Behind the Music - The bass player dead from a heroin overdose, the mandolin shot on the street, and the harp recovering from an abusive relationship. They're Cobains in the making, people, and it sickens me...
