Veterans Fight to Keep 75 yr old Mojave Desert Memorial

The site for the memorial was chosen because at a certain time of day, the sun casts a shadow on the rock which resembles a WWI doughboy. For more than 75 years, the memorial has stood as a reminder that there were those who fought and died for our freedoms. But sadly today, the ACLU and a federal judge in California, want to tear it down. In fact, the judge has ordered the memorial covered from view while the case is on appeal. personally I don't think it matters to much , could make everyone happy by just changing the shape of it, I see no reason why it has to be a cross it would still work as a good memorial Evan if it was just a stone.
Evan though i think religion is retarded and that you could argue crosses all over the place promote religion it dosent really bother me , I hope that once people have gotten over religion we still keep all the decent churches in the same way that we hold onto torture devices or places of execution despite not using them , its just interesting history regardless of how stupid the history was.
