In 1989 Robert Van Winkle released a B-Side that he wrote when he was just 16.

It ended up being the highest selling rap record of all time.

That song was "Ice Ice Baby".

20 years later he has something to say.

Having a look at this: http://www.rightmusicwrongs.org

I would say this qualifies as a viral. Kind of a neat effect on the background though, I'll give them that.

He's only sorry he spent all the money! He thought he was going to be a star, not a one turd wonder.

Much like the atomic bomb and resurrecting dinosaurs in jurassic park... we sometimes have regrets when we are...back with a brand new invention

As an excuse, it wasn't his fault...something had grabbed a hold of him tightly. Would it ever stop? He didn't know.

It's okay Rob. When I was 14 you were my hero. Go get yours.

Damn. I thought he was going to apologize for ripping off "Under Pressure" from Bowie/Queen.

Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer just did a one time show in my home town. I really wish I had gone to the show...

"...I'm sorry...for the gangs..." I'm sorry, but this guy is still so cheesy.

While it's true that Rob's a big douche, you've kinda got to hand it to him for being self deprecating about his musical career. He's probably made more money from being a has been than he ever was paid by the label.

The 1980's saw the record companies embracing the cancer of commercial successes over talented musicians, and thanks to studio magic, we get spoon fed marketable images with no substance, rather than real artists that have legitimate talents.

This is why I don't understand music piracy, there's nothing out there worth stealing.

Course he was a puppet, just like every last one of the major music artists these days, they are good looking but with little talent and zero actual musical ability besides a voice (that more often then not has been digitally smoothed out.)

But I cannot accept his apology. Why? Because he's still wearing hats two sizes to big.

Thank you, but you also need to apologize for that hat. Or do we have to wait another 20 years?

Oh, there's some good stuff out there, but you have to steal a lot to find it
