I do hope the citizens to which these people are from, hold them accountable and vote a democrat in to office in 2010. Since, Democrats seem to be the one's accomplishing good things for our country, and Republicans just sit, spin, and complain.
"The GOP, the only place left where a 60 year old man can behave like a two year old and not end up in a rest home!"
I OBJECT! I OBJECT! DE-DEKKIN-DUR-VOTES! DERP! E DERP!
Putting aside the illegality and intrusiveness of this socialized medicine bill, do you believe the government of FEMA, the post office, Amtrak and GM--the same government which couldn't meet its own quota of H1N1 flu shots--can efficiently and more cheaply run 1/6th of the economy better than private companies?
Do you really think Pelosi will make good on her threats in this monstrosity of a bill and throw people in jail for not buying health insurance?
Putting aside the illegality and blah blah blah blah...I OBJECT

You guys are statists. You believe the State should control health care and rule those evil corporations with an iron fist. I don't.

Explain how people will be thrown in jail for not buying health insurance. Don't just throw that bullshit out there without the real story. Or are you just parroting the right wing talking points without understanding them?

Given that every other public healthcare plan in the world is run at a fraction of the cost per individual and actually results in people getting healthcare when they need it rather than insurance companies cutting ties with customers right when they are supposed to step up to the plate, I would say yes, they can run it more efficiently.
Do you believe the government ... the same government which couldn't meet its own quota of H1N1 flu shots--can efficiently and more cheaply run 1/6th of the economy better than private companies?
Private companies were the ones that failed to meet their commitment to the government on H1N1.
Why should we trust them to run anything?
If you can't get flu vaccines to Americans, how are you going to protect them against bioterrorism? If you can't get flu vaccines to Americans, what kind of health care program are you running?
