I can't say I'm too crazy about the look of the new graphical style (Guybrush himself in particular), but anything that brings Monkey Island to a new audience is A-OK in my books.

Woohoo! It looks to be a straight port of the original game, but they kept the voice actors from Curse of Monkey Island. I agree with you, though - they should have used the cartoon version of Guybrush.

I'm not excited at all. Monkey Island 4 was horrible, and this looks like it's going on the same path.

The first game was excellent (How appropriate, you fight like a cow!), and the second was nice. The third was amazing (You don't need to see my identification. I'm not the pirate you're looking for).

If they won't stop trying to 3D-ify these games, I'm going to put them in my Matrix category, and pretend anything beyond The Curse of Monkey Island doesn't exist.

demon have you watched the video? This is a remake of the first games. Only the graphics and sound are changed, you can even switch back to old graphics at any scene in the game.

Though I also don't like the way they made Guybrush in the new version, and the graphics seem a bit too clean and have lost a bit of the charm of the old graphics.
