Top 10 Most Difficult Games

As told by Gametrailers.com...

Just to get this out of the way, there is only one of the flying shooters in this list, the rest though you can easily agree with... (if you played these games)

Sarzy: Understandable... after Megaman X6, the games got super hard and had you question yourself alot of times... I was suprised they didn't just call one boss "Spike Wall Man"

EDD: A good example, I wanna be the guy is annoying as hell, however one thing to keep in mind is that these are actual games and sadly no user created games can make it in the list (although I'm pretty sure IWBTG would be high on the list if that was the case...)

Ikaruga may have been pretty mind boggling but I would have though 1 hit 1 kill games with a rewind back like RType would be considered harder. BTW they didn't mention that dreamcast also got Ikaruga.

I find most 1 hit 1 kill games dificult, contra, most shmups, ect.

Oh, I also thought the NES TMNT was pretty hard due to the horrible weapons and their lack of being able to sweep areas when being swung. Oh and things like the mobs respawning as soon as their spawn point went offscreen.

TMNT was hard because it was horridly designed. Yep, Ikaruga was on the DC first, not surprised GT missed that. DMC3? Shinobi on the PS2? Don't these games have to qualify as being good, too? In that case, Dragon's Lair for the NES is the hardest game ever! F-Zero GX was a pleasant surprise, as far as racing games go, I agree. Ghosts'n'Goblins is the name of the series. Ghouls followed later, not a series. Ninja Gaiden, nuff said. Surprised there was no Contra 4, it is 2d-schmup bliss (Contra/Super C are unlockables!) with a difficulty so manly you have to shave after playing. Though this looks like an older GT countdown, based on the look.

Hum, I completed battletoads with my friend when we were around 10 years old, don't remember it being all THAT hard

Although it's been around 16 years after that, time could've smoothened up the pain =)

I can't upvote this horrible list.

Obviously these posers have never played MDK2, Target Earth, Contra Hard Core, etc...

And putting a Zelda game on the list is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time...

I can't really agree with this list, but it sure is a walk down memory lane. Contra on ps2 was insane tough. Most R-types are pretty tough. Maximo(the extension of ghouls and ghosts) was hard as hell. Link? whatever.

Ahh, Ahhh! They use that swooshy friggen sound I hate so much in this countdown (during the number coming on screen each time)... ARRRRRGH, my most hated sound effect, it's used oh, oh, oh so often... Hate... hate it.

On the games front... meh, console of course, I was raised on the ZX Spectrum and PC, so console gaming passed me by, but I never liked the stupidly hard games... give me a game which is hard until you THINK a bit and work out a strategy that works, THAT's far more enjoyable than something that comes down to mushing buttons quickly enough, or just having dumb luck that one in 50 tries at a jump.

Maybe I'm just unco... actually, that's probably more like it... but... yeah, not my idea of fun! (Also, am I the only person who knows Ghouls and Ghosts as Ghosts and Goblins? Oh... no, I just know the original, and these guys are all talking about the sequels... right
