Yep - it is. Many, many layers of make-up. Tim Curry was pretty brilliant casting to be play the devil.

Perhaps you missed my other attempted post from the movie in which I said something to the effect of, "excellent cinematography for its time and a fine film, only marred by the miscasting of Tom Cruise."

Eughhhh is right. It reeks of sacrificing artistic integrity for box office $$$.
