They got the slander out; they've done their job.
I can't believe that Insight Mag wasn't able to gin up a fellow student at Swift Boat Madrassa in Indonesia who is now an Al Qaeda member.
Sadly, for the cable news maw the smear itself is all that matters. The rest is anchorbot salivating over the candidate/blogosphere/flack reaction to the smear rather than doing the hard business of covering issues of substance with a critical eye.

Obama is an eloquent clone of Ted Kennedy, per his voting record. That's enough to discourage anyone who doesn't want more big government socialism, which sadly is what Bush has been about as well.
Fact is that any reasonable "news" outlet has two sources, or at least does 5 minutes of googling and/or research to confirm the BREAKING STORY. But what Faux News does is report any crazy crap and have fifteen minute speculation tirades (how is this news?) on completely fictional made-up crap. Do they call Obama campaign? Do they call Insight? Do they try to find out anything about the school / terrist training center? Do they read one of his two books? No, of course, you are right, it is the CommieNews folks fault. Clearly.
When FoxNews has two of its programs covering FauxNews(tm) of some made up smear campaign... and no other network is talking about said Earth-shattering journalistic breaking story.. That tells me Murdoch planned his ooops-how-could-we-know smear. And to say Moonie Times and Murdoch are not lock-step with der fuehrer is just as stupid as your assessment of Bush.
Yeah, all that money you could have spent on schools, free healthcare for everyone(like we have here in Norway), alternative energy.. spend it all on WAR to get the last of the oil! That way all your low taxes goes right into the hands of corporate america! this keep the economy going! That means every dead child died for a noble cause!

How a bout a simple deconstruction:
1. Vid is posted, like a hatchet thrown at a practice-stump well-worn, of some bullshit concerning some media outlet, and some candidate for some office.
2. Up pop, the usual suspects, the supporters of dead-horse kicking, the party-line, this-ism, VS. that-ism, as meaningless a regurgitent as a Mc. Donald's jingle is to a musk ox.
3.The respondent who can't help but wag his finger in insult, or shake his head in "faux" pity, at the contributors most-likely to resemble the schoolyard bully's flavor-of-the-weak. (For the sake of being accused of ad-hom, let's call him Smugly Putforth.)
4.and finally, as the votes come flying in, from an anonymous peanut gallery of teens, queens, and lurking dweebs, because, to shout foul to a brick-wall, is much more stylish an activity than producing any real meaning or solutions rather than to play this game they have created for the monkey house, a lone voice pops in to remind most of the contributors, how fucking sophomoric and ineffectual they all are, or are becoming.
