newtboysays...OK, put the frozen turkeys in the refrigeration cars, smart, but why on earth did they move them around? Surely it would be cheaper to just park them somewhere, no?

antsays...I ate TV dinners as a callow ant and teen(ager).
Paybacksays...At that time, reefer cars were only just starting to use mechanical cooling systems. Before then, they were all basically ice boxes. The early systems weren't that efficient and needed to move to cool.
