Jason Schwartzman is excellent. So is Wes Anderson. Did you know Jason Schwartzman's mother is Adrian from Rocky?

Very effective - a post-modern credit card commercial ;-)

I like how people can say a piece of art is postmodern as justification for why it's good. It isn't good. It's self absorbed and not entertaining. You say that it's postmodern as a way of flattering yourself into thinking that you understand whatever nebulous intellectual statement is being put forth. There is no statement. There is just Wes Anderson getting paid by a credit card company for getting you to think that you like it.

NO VOTE BEOTCH.

Ok, take a deep breath. I liked this because it was interesting and engaged my mind a little bit like a riddle or a good joke, and is an improvement on the vast sea of drek most commericals are. - In the end though, it is just a commercial, and probably not worthy of your passion.

What makes it postmodern, in my humble view, is that it is self-referential. It is "aware" of itself and pokes fun of the very medium in which it's presented. I agree that it doesn't make any real statement or have a point, and so -- again, in my humble eyes -- does not rise above parody to be truly satirical.

My $.02 , but for you, gratis.
