This is some footage of the real footprint fireworks that China used during the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It has been reported that these fireworks were fake. In reality, there were real fireworks (as shown in this video) for people to see live, but the reportedly fake fireworks were composed of some prerecorded and some CG for the television audience because the actual ones were not spectacular enough, according to the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee. On television these footprint fireworks looked a lot more full and colorful than seen here.
