Lazy women, always looking for gadgets to lessen their work. I kept cats several times for friends, I never had a problem cleaning out the rock hard constellations of pee and poop.

key phrase: "I kept cats several times for FRIENDS" Friends. See, no lifetime commitment there. Cats can live to be 20 years old, and scoopin that poop gets old. Very old.

I had two beautiful cats a few years back that traveled with me everywhere. They even went to Japan with me for year I loved them so. I would have LOVED to have this litter box.

And if you had kids,a job,debt,pets and a mate to pay attention to and a home to clean and feed for all of the above plus having a life of your own...you might not be so quick to call lazy.

Oh, I continued our thread about sheltered kids and reality in the coffee house.

I had life time commitments when I was younger, over time my parents got rid of them. Am a cat lover more then a dog lover. But I wouldn't keep one for my happiness at the expense of it's well-being.

Cleaning the catbox manually isn't so bad if your cat is reasonable tidy and sane (for a cat). We have a tabby who has never learned to cover up (she'll scratch at the edge of the pan for minutes at a time), and over the past few years, her spatial sense has eroded and she tends to deposit outside the box.

Which is why my husband is our CatGenie.

yeah my cat started pooping outside the cat box, and it took me like a year to train her to poop outside. Now we have a great relationship, I feed her, relish her ministrations, and avoid having to deal with her noxious bodily functions.

re: Smelly cat houses, I too know some people with really smelly houses. I don't know that this would fix the problem though, I think usually the culprit is that people feed their kitties wet cat food which tends to stink a bit more.
