Yeah there's some tearing in this video. That does however add to the 80's look-and-feel of the video imho

Yep!

I'm guessing the tearing was added to simulate either VCR pausing or a dirty VCR head since both of those would cause that problem. It was funny at first but it got damn annoying.

No transformers mention... wtf...
