http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercell

Back in texas we had nermerous occasions when two thunderstorms would merge creating a supercell. and on a rare occasion two supper cells would merge and create an even bigger super cell.

A super-duper cell?

Nature is awe inspiring, is she not?

Its not Nature. It is Jesus. Nothing would happen without Jesus. Physics doesn't exist. Everything is Jesus. It is all sparkly poofy magic. Nuff said.

I still say that clouds are anti-visual detection mechanisms used by UFOs, at least that's what I tell my kids. (average response - my daughter just rolls her eyes).
This just goes to prove it.
Inside the cloud is hiding a flying saucer. - sort of like the guy who sneaks up on you in an empty field while caring a bush so you won't see him.

Way too cool...

I would pay $200 right now to watch that storm approach and then be consumed by it.

lol he got 2 minus. Proves that there are still people out there who dont understand sarcasm.

"According to Dr. Rankin, if you didn't get the sarcastic tone of the previous sentences you must have some damage to your parahippocampal gyrus which is located in the right brain. People with dementia, or head injuries in that area, often lose the ability to pick up on sarcasm, and so they don't respond in a socially appropriate ways."

I think Roy Batty said it best... "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. A Super Duper Cell floating across the Oklahoman Plains. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die."

ps. Amazing how a small lake's worth of water can seem so intimidating...

I was lucky enough to have grownup traveling across the US multiple times. So even though I've never lived in the areas where things like this happen, I still got to experience them. Can you imagine being an Indian on the Great Plains hundreds of years ago and have this roll up on you? Awesome.

^he probably would have said the Apache equivalent of "oh shit".

(I wiki'd it, there were allegedly Apaches in Oklahoma back then, I'm not being predjudiced)

That was pretty cool. What I don't understand is why so many people continue to live in areas like tornado alley of the southern and eastern coasts of the U.S. Do you people not learn?!?

And the Apache guy would have said the apache equivalent of what we would say now - "Holy Fucking Shit Bob, check that shit out!"
