I am actually excited about a Terminator movie again.
Why?
Purely because it has Christian Bale in it.
I can't remember a bad film he's been in... even as a kid he was amazing (If you haven't, you have to watch Empire of the Sun, friggen brilliant Spielberg film). And especially now, with the amount of currency he has in the industry, I just wouldn't think he'd do a bad film. (I mean, come on, the man did The Machinest, the most emaciated character I've seen on film, and then went STRAIGHT into Batman... he commits himself)
I certainly hope I'm right, I would love to enjoy a new Terminator film.
Bale brings respect back to the Batman series now Terminator. Hell ya! I new T3 would suck when a friend told me that it didn't even have the theme music from T1 & T2. This trailer already validates my $10 next summer. Well by then it might be $20 + $10gas.
Why does everyone bash Equilibrium? I picked it up on DVD when I saw an article saying it did poorly at the box office but it got a bad rap. I quite enjoyed watching it.
1984 Episode 2 - This Time It's Personal! (It appears a few sifters haven't even spotted that Equilibrium is the book, "1984", scripted for modern film with a bit of action thrown in)
Equilibrium wasn't a bad film really.. i guess.... once i got over how they'd changed perhaps 1 word or 1 syllable from "1984" and stuck it straight in - bit too blatant for me.
+ Is part of the Terminator series, which contained Terminator, an excellent movie, and Terminator 2, one of the best 5 movies ever made (in my humble opinion) - Is part of the Terminator series, which contained Terminator 3, one of the worst 5 movies I've ever seen in a theater.
+ Has Christian Bale, who I think is the finest actor of my generation (along with Edward Norton). - Is directed by someone with a fake name who also directed Charlie's Angels movies.
I must say, the way the trailer teased in the Terminator theme was sublime.
The worst thing about the Internet, movie previews and teasers is that we have to keep, in the back of our minds, the fact that it will take a year before we get to see it. I would rather not know until just before it comes out. This is true about the Dark Night as well.
Tymbrwulf, Reign of Fire only sucked because of the ending. The dragons dying out suddenly due to global warming would have been less groan inducing.
Equilibrium wasn't as good as it could be only because Christian Bale took up 75% of their budget. But then, I've always felt guns and ballet mix well.
As for everything I've seen and heard about the new Terminator movie, I think they should probably rename it Terminator: Salivation
It's gonna be hard to top that Crane, Fire Truck, and multiple emergency vehicle robot-controlled chase.....oh and Kristanna Loken's liquid leather jumpsuit ....
McG??? Awwww hell...oh well, maybe this one will have a T&A 1000 innit.
I hope it doesn't suck.

Seen Equilibrium????
Awww, shuddup
It wasn't that bad.
A lot of people liked it actually.
But yeah, not wonderful.
But not terrible either, certainly made its money back anyway.
Heres to hoping its better than T3
(that had that bubblegum hollywood feel to it)

Anyway this is about T4, and i say bring it on.
No hope. None at all.

Just for the sake of argument:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0253556/
But I concur, he is an actor who commits himself to the role.
And I disagree with all of you people bashing T3. Yes, all of you.

however, christian bale = automatic upvote
McG??? Awwww hell...oh well, maybe this one will have a T&A 1000 innit.
Let alone one whose BEST movie is Charlies Angels 1
/\ Spoiler Alert!
How do you figure? I just said the ending sucked.
