This is really no different than a 23 year old male teacher having sex with a 14 year old girl. That's just wrong.
But here's what I don't get: She gets three years of house arrest. If the genders were swapped, the teacher would have gone to jail for those three years (or more). What gives?

Im with MG on this, its bullshit that just cause she's "pretty" and "innocent" looking that she gets off (scary looking in my opinion). I was in florida when this happened and one of her defenses was "you cant send her to jail, she would be like fresh meat and couldnt make in there". Oh really well dont do the crime then you twisted pyscho. Hell if every criminal can get released cause prison is too rough then hell just through out law as well. If I did this to a girl I would be in jail for probably around a decade. She even was said to have sex with the boy in the back seat of his FRIENDS car while his friend drove them around and got to watch.

I was going to write that I felt really bad for her ex-husband, but then I read his Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owen_Lafave). It seems like he turned this into quite a profit.

I can't imagine reacting like he did, going on TV while they were still married, making documentaries, writing a book. What a weird relationship that must've been.
