Everytime I see this movie I keep thinking that the effect on his body is due largely to the rapid changes in his diet. If you go from a vegan diet to a diet made entirely of fast food, then of course your going to have major health problems. Id love to see someone who isn't so healthy try this to see if it effects them in the same way.

Documentaries are not reality. They are someone's idea of reality, cleverly edited to justify whatever they're trying to push.

Some people get fat off fast food and feel justified in blaming the food.

Nanny-staters decry poor choices that are the result of having freedom and feel righteous enough to condemn freedom for all.

McDonald's isn't good for you ALL the time? What is?

Captain Obvious got rich off, well, the obvious.

I'm glad I got to see this for free.

As if fast food wasn't nasty enough, then you get those bad-luck fast food days where the food they give you is sub-par to even their designs.... nasty dry lukewarm burgers.... tomato slices with gigantic white stemmy centers... nasty lettuce... the nastiest of the nastiest prepared by someone who could give a flying flute what your putting in your mouth. Hey it's still better than licking toilet bases in a baseball stadium, right?

I can think of all kinds of shit I could eat every day and not pickle my liver.

lol @ mcdonalds apologists

i would like to see a regular mcdonalds customer go vegan for a month and have the same effect, that would truly be amazing.

Wow, is this the first time a full-length movie hit the top 15?

The real problem is high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). It's new like fast food places (introduced in the 80's) but far more difficult to avoid. Almost all drinks consist of water, HFCS, and a flavoring chemical. Most of the "healthy all natural fruit juice drinks" advertised have "Contains 10% juice" (or sometimes even 0% juice) written in tiny writing on the back.

Unhealthy drinks and food are also much cheaper then the high priced real stuff so many poor people can't afford to live healthy (especially when you work 2 low wage jobs and don't have time or energy to cook your own meals).

It is absolutely not cheaper to go drop $7 at McD's than it is to stay home and make a single serving of pasta with tomato sauce for 87 cents. But it does require less effort. Energy problems? Stop the cycle of caffeine and sugar crashing from drinking a liter of soda and/or coffee every day, and get some exercise instead.

If people would take a little bit of interest in and care of themselves, McD's (etc.) wouldn't be in the business they're in right now, and then people wouldn't have to blame others for their stupid mismanagement of their lives.

QM, not to start a war here or anything, but you just contradicted yourself in a single comment. It's either not reality or obviously reality... which is it?

the guy's a fraud, he intentionally lays around like a slug while gorging on fast food, then pretends to be all surprised, 'omg look! fast food is evil!'

His next project - to "prove" videogames are Satanic?

Memorare, your comment makes no sense.

You're saying he's a fraud for proving something that is obvious (fast food is bad for you). Then you go on to say that he's going to "prove" videogames are Satanic. Are you saying that videogames are Satanic so him "proving" this fact is as irrelevant as this documentary?

Now I've gone and confused myself in my long winded rant. Congratulations.

you say that as if it were not a true to life situation.

I agree with you viewer 999. Making home-made meals from scratch is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. The problem is that home-made meals require energy, planning, effort and commitment, something more and more people seem incapable of, or unwilling to do for themselves.

If your diet does not provide adequate nutrition, you lie around like a slug because you have no energy.
