honkeytonk73says...deform skull make better cup for wodka.
chilaxesays...For god's sake please take this out of the Science channel.
E_Nygmasays...zomfg are they made of crystal and george lucas' failed attempts at dialogue!?!?
ziggystardustsays...This is straight up freaky.
JAPRsays...Interesting, but not really science guys.

Did archaeology stop being a science when I wasn't looking?
chilaxesays...^It's a viral video or some other form of entertainment.
Scientists don't state out of thin air that ancient body modifications gave the subjects ESP, and exciting discoveries are published in reputable news sources, not mysterious videos.

"wodka"?
ElJardinerosays...Yeah the conclusions made by the two men in the video are weird but it is a fact that these skulls have been found all over the world. The weird part is not how the skulls got to be like that, but why civilizations all over the world with no contact whatsoever made the same bizarre decisions.
Here's even a live person with one:

Taken in the 1930's.
Smugglarnsays...idiots
andybesysays...A skull with an unusual shape, so they must have had "exceptional brain capabilities" including "being able to predict the weather".
Give me a break, utter nonsense and certainly not science.

siftbotsays...This post has been removed from the Brain channel by channel owner jonny. Please review the FAQ to learn about appropriate channel assignments.
Tymbrwulfsays...I'm assuming they would "bind" the skulls with some sort of material to prevent growth in every direction except the way they want. Like the tribes in africa which elongate their necks using discs, etc.
blackjackshellacsays...Good soundtrack, but it stinks to high heaven of pseudo-science and crypto-zoology. As I recall this sort of cranial deformation was also done in Egypt.
cybrbeastsays...The skulls are interesting from an archeological and anthropological perspective. But no real scientists would make the claims these people do about the abilities this would give one without real evidence.
My vote also says this doesn't belong in the science channel.
cybrbeastsays...*mystery is a channel this belongs in though.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Mystery) - requested by cybrbeast.

When I saw that I was like you. WTF? Where's the damned snow?
harrysays...This is by most scientists regarded as something similar to the elongated necks, extended lower lips and other tribal body modifications: they more or less all signify what group of people you belong to.
They are most likely not aliens or Siberian ESP weather prediction magicians.

djsunkidsays...Those are just widescreen skulls. Clearly they just forgot to set the aspect ratio!
steroidgsays...Oh your chosen deity! Alien Resurrection was real! That's the skull of the human alien hybrid that got sucked out of the spaceship!
transportersays...upvote for that guy's sweet hair
Doc_Msays...Assuming they were some type of designed super-human is pure quackery plain and simple. These people making comments were either edited beyond ethical means or are just making the most wildly absurd speculations they can for attention. psh. It was probably a fashion like foot-binding or something, or some superstition.

Archeologists are not neurologists. It is just as sensible to ask a nuclear physicist what the function of the viral protein VP22 is in the assembly and function of HSV-1. In other words, these dudes don't know crap about what they're talking about beyond vague guesses of folk lore and superstition. Heck, people used to think only witches float.....

No, but the conclusions they make are unscientific and out of their field.
10040says...Wow, my brother was telling me about this today, and me and my dad were all like, 'bullshit!', I wish I watched this first.
I agree with mauz15, the conclusions drawn are ridiculous, and have no logical backing. My guess is that these guys ate to many magic mushrooms.
messengersays...>> ^Doc_M:Heck, people used to think only witches float.....
And very small rocks.
mrk871says...WLF!?!!!
Does nobody see it?!!
These are fucking half human half aliens.
I knew it.
I knew they'd find them eventually.
I thought I'd buried them well and truly, but oh my go they're going to unearth the lair aren't they?
Does the human race never learn?!?!?!!
EndAllsays...White screen for me..
