I didn't read the harry potter or twilight series, it seemed to attract the lower grade levels, now before anyone jumps on me, i havent read them, it's just that when the main demographic is grade school kids I just assume it's written with them in mind. I do think that the writers should be writers and let the critics confuse the rest of us!

I read the Harry Potter series all the way up to the last book and never finished it. Why? Not because Rowling was a bad writer, but because she can't keep her mouth shut. A friend had recommended that I read the Potter series, which was only up to the fifth book at the time. So I started and am about 1/2 way through the 4th book when Rowling makes a press release about how distraught she is for killing one of the main characters in Book 6.

WTF? STFU! Don't ruin the experience for me!

So I let the first one slide, finished the series up through book 6, and next thing you know, she finishes book 7 but makes another fucking press release about how she killed two characters this time! Goddamn it, lady, wtf is wrong with you? It's like sitting in a theater and in the first 10 minutes the director walks in and starts to ruin plot points. That was the final straw.

I stopped reading King around Needful Things but he could outwrite both of these two in his sleep. And has.

I don't care. At all. Either way. Why should it matter what Stephen King thinks of Meyer? Her books sold so well that a movie got made. I'm sure she's made some money on the deal. So, she obviously did something right.

These kinds of things are just one giant waste of energy.
