We have been Winnipeg Folk Fest attendees for nearly 20 years. Unfortunately, we didn't start attending until we were in our 40s (encouraged by our kids!), and were not there when Stan was. It is one of our great regrets that we didn't see him perform! As was said in the video "Once they heard it, it just gets under your skin." Absolutely!!
We are Prairie folk, and while we enjoy all of his songs, "Field Behind the Plow" strikes us deeply, as we both come from honest, hard working, Canadian Prairie stock!
