could have used a better lot of things. The commercial is a minute and a half long.. but theres only like 20 seconds of footage rendered video. He repeats one video like 4 times, the rest 2 times, and the different colors are all using the same video clip.

If your still wowed by lightsaber effects, grats. The rest of us know its now probably one of the easiest things to do on pc now (well.. difficulty level depends on if you have a blade stand in or not).

toyota or some truck manufacturer totally stole this guy's idea, or maybe the other way around...

i just saw some bald dude slice a turkey with a jedi ginsu on tv a minute ago, for his family's thanksgiving... and then "INNOVATION"... and a big fat truck on the screen. heh.

just thought i'd share.

OK jmd - all of your criticisms are valid. This is actually a video that I put together for a New Year's Eve skit night at church. Most of it was done in a single afternoon and the special effects weren't intended to WOW anyone, but merely to provide a source of amusement. I would have loved to have used more varied footage, a better voice (this is the only one I have), toasted the bagel or some bread, cut a steel pipe, and many other things that I thought of. However, I have a job, family, and a life and the time I had available did not permit those indulgences. I hope you got a bit of a chuckle, if not... I am sorry to have wasted an entire 90 seconds of your life.

pho3n1x - I confess that I have seen the commercial that you are referring to although I never saw it until I had already conceived of my parody and had it storyboarded. Oh well... as I said before, it was all done just for a laugh.

still neat. honestly i thought the repeating footage did it justice in the fact that it was a parody of "but wait, there's more!" commercials.

i'll upvote damned near anything with a lightsaber in it.
