Yeah, the sounds and music are what really got me-- not only does he look the part, but all the sounds bring the ship to memory-- it's a really well done homage.

Space Cowboy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboy_Bebop My favorite anime ever. If you aren't a fan of the medium I wouldn't recommend it to you to start with, but if you've seen some anime before, and like things that are good, I'd make you watch the whole freaking series.
