The "Structure" procedural system is able to generate large city environments, complete with logical interiors, to overcome what the developers call Locked Door Syndrome in games like Grand Theft Auto. In addition, the interiors are fully destructible using PhysX (without dedicated hardware), though said destruction doesn't look particularly convincing in the demo.

This is very impressive. The test will be when you try to combine it with people and AI to bring such a city to life. Still, amazing stuff.

I definitely think this is a promising step in the right direction.

One thing I noticed was ceilings, floors, and exterior walls did not appear to be destructible. I'm assuming this is to avoid the problem of needing to calculate the collapse of an entire building due to structural compromise.
