I happen to have one of these, and I absolutely love it.

This was shot recently from Notting Hill to Westminster (5 miles) and took 23 minutes!! This is quicker than a car, tube and bus - zero carbon, alternative way to get to the office!!!

looks pretty fun, snowboarding around town

(side note; grid power isn't 'zero carbon', certainly not in my neck of the woods; people more commonly dub battery powered transport as 'zero emission')

^ My board ways in at 50lbs. Half-pipes are out of the question, but it does go 20 mph.(almost to fast).

I've got a pair of Freeline skates that I'm in love with - human powered but much more transportable. I can fit them in my bag when I'm in lectures. Don't think I'd do 20mph on the flat, but they're certainly faster than most people running.
