Media Clash: Sigue Sigue Sputnik

For anyone who doesn't know:
Tony James's first band was called London SS and included members of the Clash. He later joined a band called Chelsea with a singer named William Broad (that's right Billy Idol). They then left and formed the 70's punk band Generation X and recorded songs like Mony Mony which Billy Idol went on the re-release as his own and hit the big time.
Tony created Sputnik after a dream he had about Elvis living and creating music in the 21st century. He then went out and recruited the band members based on their looks. They all had to be tall and skinny. None of them were musicians, so he taught them 3 or 4 chords each and faked the rest!
Tony then went on to play Bass for the Sisters of Mercy for a year and then joined up with Mick Jones from The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite to form a new band called Carbon/Silicon writing new songs and playing guitar.
