Senator Tim Scott talks about being stopped by the police...

Normally, this isn't my political guy. However, normally he doesn't give this kind of speech.

He's a US Senator. One of the most powerful people in Washington DC---one of 100 Senators.
He's been stopped 7 times this year by police; 7 times as a US Senator.

In this personal speech, he tries to get his own party to listen to what it feels like to be "targeted for nothing more than being yourself..."

At 8:21, he describes his personal experiences. At 13:00, it becomes even odder. This has an astonishingly low number of views on YouTube...

Fear because: even as US Senator, he has experienced fear, anger, and frustration in dealing with the police.
I don't know what the answer is. But this was a pretty compelling description of what the problem of being black is like from someone who is otherwise, ostensibly, so privileged and powerful.
