Uhh....Yeah.... about that....
It was stated in this video "the philosophy of the republicans" which is not entirely correct.. it should have been read "the philosophy of the Neocons"
CP: Who would you consider an oldskool Conservative who hasn't supported all of these policies?
If they would have just made regular fixed interest loans, everything would still probably be okay.

I want to fully agree with that opinion, but I rather suspect that Big Money/Corporations are what really stand behind these policies, and the Neocon shtick is just a fancy wrapping with a bow to attract the sheep of whom will be fleeced if they get their way. By mongering "fear", they are careful to frame issues that have nothing whatsoever to do with our real issues [economic downfall, loss of our international respect, trailing in nearly every market and education, the disappearance of the middle class...]. Instead, they sell "family values" as a magic elixor/snake oil because it's something we think we can understand.
There was another time/place where the politicoes used the ruse of fear and "values" to rally the masses, screening out the real problems and solutions neccessary; It did not end well for far too many. The whole "conform to our ways or else" philosophy comes directly out of the fascist handbook, and by the looks of it we are rapidly heading down that dark path.
Why is Ron Paul the only Non-Neocon-laced Republican I can think of today? I wish we had much more of him.
Ron Paul is one that doesn't support the Neocon/PNAC philosophy.
I was actually more curious about Senators but should've been more specific.
SenatorCongressman. (I guess I had a temorary loss of memory there. What was I thinkingAs for the others, there are not many.. most seem to follow like lemmings.. and don't think that the dems are uncorruptable as well.. many of them are CFR also that play the game as they are told.
^Ron Paul is a Senator.
Are you sure we're talkin' bout the same guy? The Ron Paul I know is a Congressman. =]

I'm in no way saying Dems are awesome, trust me. Just wondering who's left who you'd consider a dyed-in-the-wool conservative these days.
Is there any really, really good information about the validity of CFR? I've looked and looked and looked, and still haven't found convincing, documented info that's worth even considering.
Maybe it's my limited scope, maybe it's the outlandishness of some of the claims, but I'd be appreciative of any sorts of empirical sources.
