We should store our giant uncontrollable money printing machine somewhere else.
Eventually the most trustworthy currencies would prevail in a competitive environment.
We should allow many different money machines, so that if one of them starts printing uncontrollably, people could dump that inflating currency for a better more stable one.

I don't see the difference between what you are saying and what exists right now.
^ I'm not sure what the exact laws are, but AFAIK it's illegal to have a currency other than the dollar circulating inside the US. If you or I try to create our own type of currency not denominated in dollars, the Secret Service will soon be knocking on our doors.
I thought this was a misunderstanding about the free trade of currency in open markets but ..
No, you can't start printing gtwkqbucks and circulate them as cash. Obviously.
You could, of course, establish your own nation and then issue currency for that.
Good luck.

Ever wonder why ownership of a nation would be required just so I could issue money?
Governments establish a monopoly over currency in a nation, but that's just so they can f*ck people by debasing the money supply to steal their wealth.
A free market in currency would allow parallel currencies to compete, usually in terms of liquidity and maintenance of value (good qualities any money should have), so we wouldn't be stuck holding dollars while the government slowly sucks its value away, robbing everyone blind.
Food for thought.
