passage of time ?
the way it presents itself ?
the good or evil it does ? (that's so subjective)
Scientology happens to have many, many follower who mysterious kill themselves or are held forcibly until cockroaches bite your face. Also, many critics tend to do things like connect garden hose to car exhausts and run the garden hose to their apartment window.
It's really surprising when you learn they only have a few tens of thousands of followers. Imagine a university that had that many mysterious deaths.
