This is a secretly recorded presentation that's used to recruit new Scientologists. So far, the source has been pulled four times - but thankfully it keeps reappearing despite the 'Churches' best legal efforts.

This is hilarious. The last minute of the vid where he says "if you walk out of here and never mention scientology again, that is fine with us. You can also jump off a bridge or blow your brains out.."

haha that was priceless.

I found it to be incredibility ironic that the speaker said the Hubbard researched to expose government projects in to mind control and suggestibility, when this film was absolutely littered with suggestive phrases, as well as the occasional outright biting comment.

This whole thing sounds like an exercise in mind control.

P.S. they have a Ship! A freaking huge ship! I bet they also have Sciento-Mobiles Sciento-Flying Machine(referred by the heretics as planes) and Sciento-Killer Dolphins

You gotta love the 'Materialists have done this' *footage of bombs etc* 'While most religions are based on peace' while failing to mention how many wars are due to religion. (read, most)

Also, what shit is "Materialists cannot disprove the existence of god, they just say there isn't one" What? Like religions can't PROVE the existence of a god, they just say there IS one? It's a ridiculous argument.

But hey, I'm glad that all scientology 'orgs' have a room ready for the corpse of L Ron to come and sit at his desk.

Nut balls all of 'em. It's sad what people will believe, both in scientology and other religions.

At least with most other religions they don't put this veil of secrecy over what they teach for fear that if people got to see it outside of the correctly controlled environments they create to foster suggestiveness, that people will see it as the steaming pile of doo doo it is.

Oh, and I completely agree with the comments re the last things he says "If you walk out and never mention Scientology again, you are perfectly free to do so..." (Erm, gee, thanks for allowing me to NOT say something, mighty big of you) "...it would be stupid, but you can do it. You can also dive off a bridge or blow your brains out. That is your choice..." (Hang on, I recognize this... by merely putting not talking about scientology next to diving off a bridge and blowing your brains out, well, that's just trying to link them together in my head... oooh, you tricky people, you're so smart) "...But if you don't walk out that way... blah blah blah" (What the fuck does 'don't walk out that way' mean? That's just silly!)

Wow! I never would have thought a religion could help your photography! Or your Hairstyling!
And didn't you feel special when he kept on refering to us as "These Good People"!
That has to be the most commercial thing I've seen since the lastest Bond.

I felt that the South Park version was a lot more intersting and less shady! They certainly covered their arse's by saying it all in YOUR hands.

And how the fuck does "What's true is whats true for you" make any logical sence!?!?!?!?

I thought Scientology was all techno and savvy. This seems so dated and poorly produced. Why can't the Hollywood Mind-Heads create good promotional material?

> Mary Magdalane is buried under the louvre.

EDIT, sorry this post drifted abit, and I also first mistook magdalane for the "virgin mary" a mistake I sometimes make, I'm no bible person. still I'll leave the post mostly unedited.

And the other Mary, Jesus own mom, flew into the skies, infact, in the 1950s i think it was, the pope himself DECLARED that this was true, since the catholics had assumed it was true for so many years. So now it actually is true, isnt religion wonderful?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assumption_of_Mary

Seriously, dont even for one minute think that christianity, islam, or any of the other religions arent dangerous delusions, just like scientology is, they are all viruses of the mind, unfortunatly, these ideas replicate and evolve, just like our genes, they grow stronger with each generation, which is why the Mary assumption, which started out as an assumption is now official doctrine.

Religion, much like us, doesnt need to have a purpose outside of itself, but the fact that it has survived, means its able to survive. that which survives, survives. To an outside observer, it looks excactly like it was _designed_ to survive(like a conspiracy), repeating doctrine about how you really shouldnt ask questions or think independently or someone or something in the religion will punish you, either some god from within the religion that sends you to hell or as in Scientology where the questioning itself corrupts what your trying to fix, your mind. But, just like us, it wasnt really designed, it is a by-product of its environment.

I actually admire Hubbard in some ways (kind of the way you have to admire Hitlers ability to get millions of people to hail him over and over) because he actually did design a religion, almost from the bottom-up, sure he used naturally evolved techniques of known religions, but its still quite impressive.

BicycleRepairMan: for the most part I agree with you: all religions are methods of mind-control.

The main difference between the clams and the rest being that Bibles are public domain, anyone can print one. Try that with the works of Elron the Hubbard, and you may find yourself "diving" off a bridge, or even with your brains blown out.

>all religions are methods of mind-control.

Actually thats not what I meant, Yes, religion is sometimes(often) exploited by leaders etc to control the masses etc, What I was talking about is how similar religion is to our genes, religious cults appear all the time, triggered by some death, rumor or an event of some kind, some die fast, others live long enough to gain the momentum, once that happens, it spreads and evolves very much like a living organism, the ideas replicate and improve in the sense that they'll live longer.

Cargo cults are great examples of religion being born, natives on south pacific islands who saw white people for the first time, and never understood the concept of cargo, something broke, and the white man sent it away and it came back fixed.. other times they just got supplies, this was like magic to them, and they thought the white people had some special agreement with the gods, so they formed cults, waiting for the ultimate cargo load. some even formed mock airports in honor of the gods..

Scientology is quite unique, because its the only intelligently designed religion we know of, but as I said, Hubbard used, and sometimes perfected the attributes of the evolved religions

The reason Christianity looks better on the outside is because we dont have anyone directly responsible for its origin and form.(Jesus, for instance, was more of a trigger that got the ball rolling, not really more responsible for his following than Elvis is to the people who still thinks he's alive..)

Hey! Did he just compare L Ron Hubbard to Buddha? That blew me away, buddha is jolly and happy drinking his tea, does hubbard have thousands of years of devotion from his followers? I heard they like to kill and harass people who oppose Scientology. I wonder if Buddhists would kill any one for opposing them. That would have made me walk out of this place.

Any one remember the episode of cowboy bebop with the cult that gains its followers through virtual reality? This reminds me of that a lot.

I have been studying hypnosis for a little while now. Here's techniques I noticed in the video:
ambiguity, embedded commands, binds, double binds, confusion, quotes, presuppositions, frame control, negated statement (not really sure how else to describe it. i.e. I could say you're a d!ck head but I'm not going to. say you're a d!ck head. that would be wrong. to call you a d!ck head I mean.)

Are they really using hypnosis? *shrug* They're missing a vital part anyway, and it's something I've noticed about most scientologists. So I'm not worried.
