I disagree. To the scientist it perhaps remains so. His own theory becomes aesthetic to him, But not to the layman.
The problem is just seeing the flower, instead of seeing a theory.

I agree with him. When I was a kid and would look up at the stars it was cool enough, but now when I look up I see the time, history, distance and other things involved which I've learned since. The stars are still there but they mean more and feed the imagination more now.

Same with a naturalist and a flower I'd imagine.
