SUV driver's revenge on a tow truck

When this woman discovered that her SUV was being towed away, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

I'm putting a *viral on this and say remove it only if you can prove otherwise, this SCREAMS viral... oooh, how powerful is it... oooh.

We have this as the Holden Captiva in Australia, brought in to combat the high sales of the Ford Territory. And yes, they are of the breed of 4WD vehicles that are never actually used for 4WD, so crap like this tries to justify why you might need this ability in town.

That should teach the tow truck driver to not forget his emergency break.

You don't even need emergency break. Parking break also works. The only way this could've happened (assuming the SUV is powerful enough), is if the tow truck was in neutral. FAKE.

Probably stage?? WTF is wrong with you people. Did you lose any and all critical thinking skills?

I'm supposed to believe a tow truck driver is facing INTO oncoming traffic to tow a car incorrectly (by the drive wheels) and hooked up to the car from behind where there should be other parked cars. (How is he planning to turn around or tow the car away into on-coming traffic?)

Why wouldn't he just pull up in front of the SUV where there is no parking (because of the intersection) and hook up to the car and maybe use dollies for the rear wheels?

You do realize you cannot tow a car like that without getting a strap on the steering wheel??!!

Also, it would be impossible for this car to pull a tow truck unless the driver left the truck in neutral AND didn't use any parking brake.

Didn't it seem odd to you the driver was unconcerned when she started the engine? Let alone when the tow truck is moving he stands there and finally slowly jobs behind the truck. Never tries to get into the cab and hit the brakes.

Beezelrob: It doesn't need to be FWD, 4wd would do that if the front/rear differential lock is off.

Abducted: It's called a slim-jim, anyone with a bit of knowledge can open a car door in about 15-30 seconds (less if you know the make/model well) they just pop it out of gear or take the break off to tow. I used to own a Honda Civic when I was a student and left my keys in there all the time by accident, you can open it with a three ring binder if you know how.

suv stinks. for a film i worked on last summer i got to do alot of off road driving.
jeep commander crdi überland edition: stink.
toyota hiace (sp?) pickup with some larger wheels: could drive anywhere.

it was amazing how this little unassuming toyota could just esily go anywhere, but as soon as the jeep saw mud or a tractor road, it wuold start complaining and whining.

one thing the jeepsuv WAS good at: towing a horse trailer on the highways.
