Stumble ThisBack in '02 before Brand was very famous, he did this amazing short documentary series where he would interview different people on various subject matter. Here he follows around the youth leader of the BNP (British Nationalist Party). At first he's just trying to get to know him, understand his viewpoints, debate and such. But towards the end he gets so sickened by the warped ideals these people have, and lets rip. This is well worth 25 minutes of your time
Regardless, I still can not respect the BNP supporter as his comments were at times rather offensive. Unfortunately he was not sufficiently prepared and did not present himself and other nationalists in good light (drinking, using inappropriate language, poor dress habits, unclean home etc).
Pity, as he could have given this Mr Brand a far more erudite peek into so-called "right-wing" politics.

I was inferring as to why a political party "should not get a fair hearing". It is patently unfair that a political party in a Western country gets such shabby treatment. Like the BNP is the LTTE or ETA or something.
With things like "BNP Exposed! A secret agent infiltrates the party." media makes it look like the BNP is some sort of underground extremist movement. However the Nazi party don't get a hard time.
So you can keep on with your democracy line til hell freezes over, I still think you're talking shit. In fact no. If I quote you "the nazi party dont get a hard time" I can guarantee you talk shit
From the BNP website: "... we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question."
If groups that focus solely on ethnic interests have a right to exist and even enjoy government subsidies to fund their operation, I don't see why an organization that focuses on White ethnic interest should be disrespected.

And in this day and age, we should all be living in harmony together, not segregating like back in the 40s - talk about taking a step back. I know what you're saying, you don't like the immigration problem and you see this party as being able to sort it out. But if you really think they're doing it because they are solely interested in the wellbeing of the country and it has nothing to do with hatred, then you are more foolish than i've given you credit for so far

I thought the interview was well-done.
