Too late, sir. It's too late. A too-large population already collects a government check of some kind. Democraps buy votes with tax money via expanded "programs" and now Fakepublicans do the same.

No one really gives a damn how much $$$ is wasted or else the thieves in Washington would already be swinging by their necks from lampposts.

"Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." Bastiat

Agreed, personally i think it's too late to rouse whatever small percentage of the population is left who knows or cares about anything beyond paris hilton, american idol, or waving the flag, and turn them into an _effective_ movement that could actually change things.

As a last gasp of futility i 'spose one could write-in Ron Paul's name in the upcoming election.

A wise use of the time between now and then might be spent obtaining a passport and getting the hell out while you still can. Dark times ahead.

Elections are won by such a small margin now that an organized minority can decide the future. An organized minority, like say for example, an internet meme in favor of Ron Paul. We've got two years left guys, don't give up hope.

It's never too late.

To give up is to abandon all hope and forfeit our country and the principles that it was founded upon.

He doesn't go into great detail here in the video as to why he's the only candidate committed to upholding the constitution. The reason he's so alienated from everyone in congress is for that reason. I'm telling you if the constitution would make murder legal, "Dr. No" would vote against a bill banning murder. He's that radical with his votes.

The people I feel sorry for are his constituents. Since he's so out of place with his fellow members he can not get a decent seat on a committee.

There is nothing wrong with upholding the Constitution. In fact congress is sworn to do just that. If there is something wrong with the Constitution there are steps to make changes to it. I'm sure if in your fantasy world it "made murder legal" Dr. Ron Paul would be one of the first to put forward an amendment to change that. This is a man that has a great deal of respect for life which is one reason why he did not support the choice to go to war with Iraq. This is a man that has delivered over 4,000 babies in his career.

The problem is politicians who think like you...if what they want the government to do is not granted by the Constitution to just go ahead and do it anyways.

"they want the government to do is not granted by the constitution to just go ahead and do it anyways"

That's called the parliamentary process in America. You have a bill, you make it a law, even if the constitution originally didn't intend it to be that way.

The problem with constitutionalists is that they protect a constitution that is outdated. As time goes on laws need to reflect the current state that America is in. You can do this two ways, by passing laws and by amending the constitution. Since it is very, very difficult to amend the constitution congress normally passes laws.

I was only using murder as an extreme example, not one of his personal character. The man has great ideas but the process to which he chooses to carry out them is not effective in the congress that we have today. I hope he does well with his campaign and makes an impact in the polls, but it is highly unlikely that he will be the next president. There are too many hardcore D
