Ron Paul gets to the heart of the matter: the Fed is printing money and devaluing the dollar.

I suppose the captioner has a sense of humor and thought no one would catch him/her typing k-fed. That's hilarious.

Good ol' RP. He always makes perfect sense. I'm glad he hasn't given up the race. I still have my Ron Paul for President 2008 sign hanging in my window - I get a couple jeers from people here and there who don't quite get why I leave it hanging up. It has nothing to do with him winning the '08 election. I understand that train has left a long time ago. But these people who mock think the Presidency is a popularity contest and what matters is who's in first, though unfortunately they tends to be the colloquial sense of the race - one of pageantry.

Actually, this is one of the few things that he's said that doesn't make sense to me. If banks are expected to have 100% reserve, then how are they supposed to create interest with it? How will they give loans, make investments, stimulate the economy, etc? It makes sense that we have too much debt and I agree that there should be restraints, but if banks are expected to have liquid assets to represent everything that has been given them then won't that be like putting it under the mattress?
