This depends on how you define the problem. As an atheist of the non-cognitivist persuasion I hold that the concept "God" is inherently meaningless, and therefor logically "God exists" is meaningless as well, taken this way I would be a 7, though I do this in a completely scientific/logical manner.
If someone proposed a set of non-contradictory criteria to identify an event or entity and called the described thing "God" I am perfectly willing to accept that that specified thing might exist, but even if it was proven to exist it would not be universally excepted as "God", so the "God" question is still not solved. This is a problem with the concept, or lack thereof, not with evidence or experimental method.
There's also the idea that this universe is actually a massive simulation being run on a type of computer somewhere. Whoever flipped the switch, is God.
