IMO the Blackbird is on of the most beautiful and futuristic looking planes ever. What an awesome build, must have cost him a lot of money to make. Landing that thing must be terrifying.
I wonder what its top speed is. Googled around, but couldn't find anything but video on this one.

Judging by what they show the guy playing with during startup, there's only one engine in the model, in the main fuselage. The nacelles seem to be just for cosmetics.

Still, coolest shit I've seen. Bling in its purest form.

It didn't look like that guy was an especially good pilot for a plane of that cost. I really thought he was going to dork the landing.

Mostly I'm jealous. I just wish I had that much disposable cash to spend on the ugly but extremely fun e-planes that I fly.

Thanks to this video I wasted hours going through this website (check 11/10/2008 for video of the plane flying).

Two things about this vid. First, I'm pretty sure there's two engines, the center is just an easy-to-access spot to attach the starter gas/fluid to.

Secondly, I think that the guy is a highly experienced pilot, he's intentionally flaring the plane to slow it down just before landing -- and it still didn't have a lot of room left after stopping.
