I would know, because Top Gun is my favourite movie

The sexiest sexy sex thing in the movie is the choreography of the dogfighting.

The "gay" stuff is eye candy for female moviegoers and a reflection of the fact that these guys risk their lives together. You try being a fighter pilot without loving your wingman.

Quentin is so wrong here he even has to fake the last line to make his theory work.

it's about men working together, not fucking together. if anything, it's about men fucking aeroplanes and having big group aero-orgies in the sky.

why people get caught up on the ridiculous "gay" theory i will never know. Is it the first film you saw men take their shirts off in or what?

All 80s films were anti communist propaganda, more like.
