The best they can do is chant USA? At this point I would guess that they don't even know what there saying anymore, its just a meaningless reflex no different than the blink of an eye.

Ironic that they were using it to drown out the voices of many US Iraq war veterans. Such a shameful sight.

So in other words there's absolutely nothing thats sacred to them anymore and there's nothing that these people wouldn't do and there isn't anyone they wouldn't trample in order to get power.

These people are cowards.

That is a green screen in back of him, is it not... man, he hasn't learned anything-- internet, dinners ready...

Do they realize if they did nothing the media would never broadcast it, but chanting USA like mindless zombies, they interrupt the speaker and hilariously tip everyone at home off.

Didn't code Pink also interrupt it?

Yeah, what is with the greenscreen, it is almost done on purpose (any press is good press?)

^Nah, I think the Green really helps to bring out his evil.

And, yes, Code Pink also interrupted McCain's speech.. Twice. And also interrupted Palin's speech.

And with all these sarcastic, jibing on both McCain's and Palin's part, I'm amazed at how HATEFUL these Republicans (delegates and audience members included) are willing to appear!

According to Fox News, the "green screen" behind him is the lawn of a the Walter Reed Jr. High School in North Hollywood.

Thanks to the green screen I can't wait for the gates-of-hell remix.

They missed the guy with the "McCain called his wife a cunt." sign.

The protesters accomplished their goal and were successful. McCain had to stop his speech and acknowledge them.

I can't imagine how much money just three seconds of TV is worth in advertising dollars alone across all networks.

So much for the security party. If they can't prevent protesters from invading their little event, how are they supposed to protect us from those horrible mooslum turrists?

And guys, the green screen again? Walter Reed high school? Oh holy crap, they can't even find a stock photo of Walter Reed Hospital? I'm sure the retarded delegates in attendance didn't bat an eye.

People actually chant "USA! USA!"? I thought that was only at WWE events.

Is there any footage of the monster truck pulls they had as intermission?

I heard someone talking about this today at lunch, and they were arguing that it was "disrespectful" to protest inside the convention, that they should protest outside, and that if they didn't agree with what McCain had to say they shouldn't have even been there.

I heard this on NPR as well.

Apparently someone typed in 'Walter Reed' in an video search engine and took the first pretty one that came up (not realizing it was a Junior High School and not the military hospital) and obviously didn't bother to ask if they could use this public school's image as a backdrop to a political convention talk.

NPR also reported that their use of "Barracuda" by the band Heart was done without asking permission (though the GOP did pay a blanket licensing fee to ASCAP), and the band and their label have filed a 'cease and desist' order against the Republican Party. Heart also said the use was "ironic" because the term 'barracuda' in the song represents the soulless music business of the 70's.

(report about Heart's response http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2008162066_heart06m.html
